We want to make sure you are able to have the best possible holiday when you visit Bunn Leisure in Selsey. Unfortunately, sometimes accidents happen or people become unwell, and so it is important you know what to do and where to go if you need medical help.

Need a prescription?

If you or a family member  has run out of their regular repeat medication and you are away from home help is available. If you contact your GP practice at home they will be able to fax a request for a supply of your regular repeat medication to one of the pharmaciesin Selsey. Please call the pharmacy first to explain your situation, get the fax number and then arrange with your home GP to have the prescription faxed to the required pharmacy.

f you require urbernt medical help while you are away from home you can register temporarily with a GP near where you're staying. In Selsey there are two GP practices; both based in the same building in the town centre near to Budgens stores -

Need a dentist?

If you need emergency dental help while away from home there are emergency clinics available in West Sussex, which can offer appointments to people with a dnteal emergency. Call 111 to find out where you can get help and to book an appointment.

 

Serious mental health concerns

If you or a loved one feel you need help with your mental health while you are away from home local services are available. For help and advice call the Sussex Mental Halthline on 0300 5000 101. It's available mon to fri 5pm to 9am and 24hrs at the weekends. the Samrarians are also available on 08457 909090.

 

Sexual health help and advice

If you need sexual health advice or treatment the local pharmacy is the best place to start. They can support with advice and information, and are able to provide over-the-counter medication for a large range of conditions. Pharmacists can also offer emergency contraception. People aged 13 to 21 yrs old can receive emergency contraception for free as part of a local scheme. If you are older than 21 emergency contraception will be made available but there will be a cost.

 

Minor injuries

If you have an injury or illness and you need urgent medical attention, but it is not a life-threatening emergency, there are two minor injury services in Coastal West Sussex where you can get help or treatment. You can just turn up at these services, and don't need to book an appointment like a GP practice. Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital Minor Injuries Unit and the Park Surgery in Littlehampton both provide a walk in service if you need help for conditions uncluding sprains, minor burns, cuts and grazes, and minor skin irritations. They are both open Mon to Fri - Bognor Regis MIU is open 9am to 5pm and Park Surgery is open from 8am to 6.30pm.

 

Accident & Emergency

A&E is for serious, life-threatening injuries and illnesses that need urgent medical attention. These include, but are not limited to, stroke, severe chest pain and breathing difficulties, heavy bleeding, loss of consciousness, and serious burns. People with this type of life threatening conditions will be treated before those with minor injuries and illness. In Coastal West Sussex there are A&E departments at St. Richards Hospital in Chichetser and Worthing Hospital. Only use them in life threatening situations.

Pre-Arrival

  • We provide a number of company letting caravans and also let privately owned static caravans
  • Website has been tested through the BOBBY package to be accessible (level 1)

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

  • Reception area has a large tarmac car park (to front and rear)
  • There are 3 designated parking bays for guests with a disability
  • Once registered at reception guests have to access the village
  • Accessible parking bays are available in close proximity to reception
  • All bays are 4 metres wide and allow for rear access to vehicles
  • All facilities are clearly signposted with signs at each junction

Main Entrance and Reception

  • Access to reception is directly from the car park (one at the front)
  • There is a level pavement to the entrance
  • The doors are 170cm wide
  • There is level access to the doors from the pavement
  • There is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn
  • Accessible parking bays are outside reception for use whilst in reception
  • The reception manager and some members of staff are trained in BSL

Public Areas - General (Internal)

  • Tarmac roads service all parts of the park and speed ramps are placed every 50 metres (there are 90cm level gaps on each ramp to allow for wheelchairs, pushchairs and luggage)
  • There are benches provided in the play areas of the village

Public Areas - WC

  • The village has toilet blocks in all the main public areas on West Sands
  • Each area provides toilets which has level entry, toilet and large basin accompanied by grab rails

Restaurants Bars Take-Away Café and Oasis CafeMax

  • Three accessible parking bays can be found outside the Waterfront Complex and Oasis all are 4 metres wide
  • Access to the Waterfront Complex is by a ramped path of a 1 in 20 slope and also double doors at the Arcade/Oasis entrance which open to 180cm wide
  • The Solent View and Smugglers Restaurants are accessible by a lift which is situated to the right of the main entrance to the Ocean Bar.  There is also a disabled toilet on the first floor facilities include toilet, hand wash basin and grab rails
  • The Ocean Bar and Embassy are on one level and have a selection of different table and chairs (some with central column some without).  Tables and chairs can be moved on request
  • The patio area outside the Ocean Bar is accessible via a ramped path which is situated to the left of the double doors outside the main entrance
  • There are two further disabled toilets which are situated in the arcade area near the Ocean Bar and one which is located at the entrance to the Bunni Club which is located next to the Embassy.  Facilities include toilet, hand wash basin and grab rails are fitted throughout these toilets
  • The Oasis Swimming Pool/ Leisure complex also has two disabled changing rooms/toilets
  • All areas are on one level

Launderette

  • Has one accessible parking bay
  • Level access throughout
  • There are seven front loading washing machines, (height 115cm) to centre of door handle
  • There are five dryers which are fully accessible

Shops

  • There are seven shops situated on West Sands two grocery shops, one hardware shop and four gift shops.
  • Access to the grocery shops are by ramps and there is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre
  • There is a level pavement/floor before the ramps to the entrance and there is level access through doors
  • The gift shops are accessible except the one in the Waterfront Complex above the Medmerry grocery shop which has five steps
  • Low level desk & counter are provided (80cm high) with under space (85cm wide, 55cm deep and 75cm high)
  • There is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn
  • The counter has an induction loop installed
  • Staff will offer assistance if required

These are available in the Oasis complex all treatments and prices available from the Oasis Reception.

 

Leisure Facilities (The Oasis)

  • Two accessible parking bays (4 metres wide) are located outside the leisure facilities
  • There are double doors to entrance which open to 180cm wide
  • There is a large changing room with non slip flooring and wide aisles
  • There are two disabled changing rooms with toilets available in the changing areas
  • There is a rolling ramp into the Beach effect leisure pool and all doors to the Sauna and steam room are wide enough to accommodate wheelchair access
  • Hoist for access in and out of the main pool (staff assisted)
  • All facilities are well sign posted in clear readable font

Outdoor Facilities

  • There is a children's play area which has a gate to entry 85cm wide
  • The surface of the play area is grass with safety mats integrated under play equipment.
  • Seating (benches) is provided around the area.

Conference and Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment

  • Smoke filters and extraction throughout entertainment area
  • Flexible seating arrangements throughout
  • Some entertainment programmes have strobe lighting effects and loud music - please check specific shows

Caravans, Holiday Homes & Twin Units

  • Static caravans have 3 to 4 steps to the main entrance, each have hand rail one side.
  • Each comprise of between 2 & 5 bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 8 guests, shower/bath room, lounge & kitchen
  • Each has a parking area close to the caravan and small area of grounds around them.
  • All our holiday homes are non smoking
  • We have some caravans in which dogs are allowed (please specify on booking)

Additional Information

  • Mobile telephone coverage is good in this area but there are public telephones available
  • There is a local bus service at the main reception and we also provide a free bus service and road train service in the park
  • Some staff have attended deaf awareness training and Welcome All training in disability awareness

Dining Room Bar Lounges Take Away and Cafe

  • Access to the bar is on a level surface
  • Double doors open to 180cm wide
  • The bar is on the level and has a selection of different table and chairs (some with central column some without).  Tables and chairs can be moved on request
  • The patio area outside the bar is level with the bar and has no steps
  • Facilities include a wheelchair accessible toilet (45cm high) and hand wash basin. Grab rails are fitted throughout. (To the left and right of each piece of sanitary ware).
  • All areas on one level, there is a no smoking area

Launderette
This facility is located on our adjacent village at, West Sands

 

Shop

  • The shop is in the JB's Complex, the same building as the bar, club, arcade and splash pool and shares the parking as the reception
  • Access is directly from the car park
  • There is a level pavement to the entrance and there is level access through doors
  • The shop is on one level
  • Low level desk and counter are provided
  • There is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn
  • Staff will offer assistance if required

White Horse Leisure Facilities

Located to the rear of JB's complex is an open air splash pool and a hard surface covered sports court

  • Reception has a large tarmac parking area
  • Once registered at reception guests have to access to Warner Farm via a barrier which is operated via a swipe card
  • Accessible parking bays are available in close proximity to reception and shop (outside the barrier and inside)
  • All facilities are clearly signposted with signs at each junction

Main Entrance and Reception

  • Access to reception (and our shop which is in the same building) is directly from the car parks (one at the front before barrier and one inside the barrier)
  • There is a level pavement to the entrance
  • The doors are 830mm wide.
  • There is level access to the doors from the pavement
  • There is ample room within for a large wheelchair to manoeuvre and turn
  • Accessible parking is outside reception for use whilst in reception.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

  • Tarmac/hard surface roads service all parts of the park.
  • The park is situated on three level fields [2 grass camping and one large with hard standing with electric & water hook-ups].

Public Areas - WC

  • Warner Farm has one large toilet block situated halfway down the village
  • There is one large universal shower room/changing room/toilet which can be access via key available from reception
  • There are parking bays outside the toilet blocks

Restaurant / Dining Room Bar & Lounges, Take Away & Cafe

  • These can be found on our adjoining parks West Sands, White Horse and Green Lawns

Launderette

  • There is one front loading washing machine, and two others which are top loading (height 115cm)
  • Iron and on switch is accessible from seated or standing position and ironing board is adjustable.
  • Hand wash sink is 85cm high

Shop

  • The shop is in the same building as reception and shares the same entrances and parking
  • Access is directly from the car park (one at the front before barrier and one inside the park barrier)
  • There is a level pavement to the entrance and there is level access through doors
  • The doors are 830mm wide.

Touring Facilities (Holiday Parks)

  • We have several pitches for tents and assistance can be offered.  Please specify on booking if you would like one of our few hard standing pitches near to the facilities.  All other pitches are level grass.
  • The toilet block has a level entry unisex shower, toilet and wash facilities which are accessible (key provided on arrival to park for duration of stay)
  • The majority of pitches are on grass; some touring caravans are on concrete hardstands with the awning area on grass
  • Parking on the grass beside your caravan or tent is allowed
  • Assistance in pitching on arrival is always offered
  • There are numerous water points, chemical toilet disposal points, dustbin areas, recycling points and fire points on the park which are no further than 50 metres away from any pitch.
  • Pitches are allocated on booking and staff are happy to advice on the location and suitability for your requirements on enquiry

Grounds and Gardens

The village is large and spacious; the distance from the main entrance to the beach at the bottom of the village is 725 metres
