Don’t forget those camping essentials!

Nothing beats spending quality time camping in the great outdoors with family and friends.

We’ve pulled together a list of all the camping essentials you’ll need to make sure your holiday under canvas goes without a hitch.

Lights

Whether it’s a head torch, a lantern, a string of fairy lights or a powerful torch, make sure you pack something to illuminate the darkness. Sleeping under the stars is fabulous – but you need more than starlight when you’re getting up to go to the loo at 3am!

Sun cream

You’ll be spending more time than usual outdoors – with our exclusive stretch of beach, your holiday is sure to feature lots of sunbathing and swimming, so make sure you pack plenty of sun cream.

Insect repellent

The bugs can bite when the sun goes down and you’re sitting outside your tent. Take some bug repellent cream and perhaps a citronella spray to keep the midges at bay.

Extra clothing

It can get chilly at night – even in a sleeping bag. Pack an extra jumper just in case you wake up cold.

Repair kit

An emergency repair kit is useful for making simple and quick repairs to your tent, groundsheet or poles.

Pillows

Camping needn’t be THAT basic – a couple of fluffy pillows will make your nights much more comfortable.

Chairs

It may seem obvious, but there’s nothing worse than having to sit on the floor after a busy day. Make sure you pack enough for everyone, including the children.

Dust pan and brush

Days spent running around barefoot on the grass and on our beautiful private beach will leave toes filled with all sorts of dust and grit that will walk into your tent and quickly make the floor uncomfortable. Pack a dustpan and brush and give the tent a daily sweep to get rid of any excess dirt.

Cards/games

There’s so much to do on a holiday at Bunn Leisure that you’ll probably fall into your sleeping bag at night exhausted. But just in case you fancy some quiet time, pack a couple of packs of cards or a few games for an old-fashioned evening of family fun - who doesn't love a game of UNO!

Tent!

Finally – make sure you have everything you need to set up! Tent, poles, ground sheet, tent pegs – make a checklist and tick it off as you go. You won’t regret it…

Standard pitches cost from as little as £45 per pitch per night for throughout August.

The price includes up to four people and all Bunn Leisure entertainment, swimming pools and facilities.
