Bunn Leisure staff step out for charity

Five of our fantastic staff have taken part in the St Wilfrid’s Hospice Moonlight Walk and raised £880 between them.

Now in its 10th year, the Chichester hospice offers entrants the choice of taking part in a five or 10-mile sponsored walk through the city.

Our receptionists Rebecca Hart, 36, and Jodie Bateman, 20, both walked 10 miles in three and a half hours.

Rebecca said: “I walked in memory of a dear friend, Tony. St Wilfrid’s helped him in his time of need, and I wanted to show my gratitude for all their support.”

Jodie said: “St Wilfrid’s helps so many people, but they need our help so that they can give theirs. My grandad never had this help when he needed it because it couldn’t be funded. I walked to help raise funds because I don’t want anyone else to have to go through that.”

Receptionist Debbie d’Agostino completed the 10 miles in just under four hours.

“I love doing this charity walk as it is very important to me,” she said.

“This was my sixth time taking part, and it was very special being the ten-year anniversary.

“It is a great time to be out and about walking around Chichester, meeting lovely people all for a great cause and supporting a wonderful place that helps so many lives.”

Annie Irwin, 23, who works in after-sales admin, did the walk in memory of her grandmother, Mimi, who was looked after by St Wilfrid’s. Holiday reception team leader Rebecca Woods, who did the walk for the first time, completed the 10 miles in just under four hours.

Well done, everyone!
