Six reasons why we love camping

To celebrate National Camping month, we have pulled together some of the best reasons we love camping.

Fun and quality time

Camping is all about fun, fun, fun – spending that quality with friends and family. There’s no skulking off to other rooms to watch TV, listen to music or play with phones. Shutting off from the world is hard when you’re at home, but being around nature gives you a different perspective on what’s important in life. Whether it’s spent snuggled up in the tent talking into the early hours of the morning or having an action-packed day making memories by exploring West Sussex and all the facilities we have to offer, there’s something for everyone at Bunn Leisure.

Getting close to nature

Spending time in the great outdoors just makes you feel better. Camping allows you to escape the normal day-to-day routines and enjoy the simpler things in life – everything smells, tastes and looks different. There’s even research showing that for people who have trouble sleeping, one week of camping resets our biological body clock and decreases depression and anxiety by up to 71%.

Cost effective, value for money

If budgets are a bit tight, or you’re looking to get away more often – camping is great value for money.

For low season, prices start from as little as £20 per pitch per night. Standard season prices start from as little as £25 per pitch per night. Peak season prices start from £35 per pitch per night. Finally, for high season, prices start from as little as £40 for a standard pitch. The price includes up to four people, the pitch, car, awning and membership to all Bunn Leisure entertainment, swimming pools and facilities.

No chores

We all have our daily and weekend routines – washing, cleaning, cooking. Sometimes you just want to break free and do something completely different! Camping does just that – you can’t just pop a load of washing in, who cares about the ironing and as for cooking that’s shared responsibility when you can! But if you don’t fancy cooking al fresco or you’re bored with beans, then we have several restaurants and pubs on site that offer a variety of food for any tastes!

Exploring

We’re based in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK (lucky us!) which is why we’re always so keen to let our visitors know about all the best bits. So, what better way to see them than by taking a lovely – and totally free – walk? There are dozens of walks in the Selsey area and they are all worth doing but to help you choose the best, we’ve compiled our top local walks and attractions for you to look at on our blog.
