Your generosity ensures orphans will have a little joy this Christmas

Children at a Ukrainian orphanage will find a pile of exciting presents waiting for them this Christmas, thanks to your generosity.

We’ve organised a Christmas shoebox appeal for the last four years, and this year over 100 beautifully-wrapped shoeboxes filled with children’s goodies are winging their way to the orphanage more than 1,400 miles away.

Each one of our caravans was allocated a box, ensuring every child had a present to open this Christmas.

Our shoebox appeal is organised by caravan owner Chris Russell, from Fareham, and his friend Andy Moore.

Chris was inspired to help after seeing photographs of the orphanage, and Andy’s wife was born in the Ukrainian town where the orphanage is.

Chris said: “Every child deserves to have a Christmas. I saw pictures and realised these children have very little hope, so I decided to help as they have done nothing wrong.”

Our MD, John Bunn, said: “It’s great that so many of our generous owners have come together to support this wonderful initiative. It really does demonstrate the importance of ‘the family’ at our holiday village.

“Each caravan owner was allocated a child to ensure every orphan receives a gift this Christmas.

“It’s fantastic to witness the season of goodwill, which will help bring some festive joy to these children.”
