Re-live The Billy Fury Years - this Christmas at Bunn Leisure

It’s 33 years since the legend that was Billy Fury sadly passed away. But his music lives on in the shape of Michael King and his band, whose touring show, The Billy Fury Years, will be rocking Bunn Leisure’s White Horse venue on Friday 30th December.

Billy’s career took off during the Swinging Sixties, where he equalled The Beatles’ record of 24 chart-toppers, which stayed in the hit parade for a total of 332 weeks. His hits included such unforgettable songs as Jealousy, That’s Love, Maybe Tomorrow and the blockbusting Halfway to Paradise and these will be recreated on stage by Michael, who goes through several costume changes to depict the different phases of Billy’s incredible career.

According to The Beat magazine, Michael captures the ‘sound, the gestures, the mannerisms, even the physical appearance of arguably Britain’s greatest Rock and Roll singer’. Those who knew and loved his music will be delighted to know that Michael has been dubbed ‘The best Fury since Fury’. But following this great Bunn Leisure show, we’re happy to predict that the man and his music will have gained yet more fans. And that they’ll be humming Billy’s tunes right into the New Year…
