Your privacy is important to us; we recognise and respect its importance. This privacy statement sets out how Bunn Leisure gathers, uses and shares personal information in compliance with GDPR requirements. About Us

We are the controller of the personal data that we gather. The terms we, our or us means the White Horse Caravan Company Ltd, trading as Bunn Leisure. We are registered with the ICO, registration number Z5730336.

 

What personal data we collect

The personal data we collect varies depending on your involvement with us. You may be a holiday home owner, holiday maker, gym user, or simply making an enquiry and agreeing to receive marketing materials for offers etc. The information that can identify you that we collect includes but is not limited to your name, address, e-mail, telephone number, age, contact preferences, photo, CCTV image, vehicle registration number.

If you are a holidaymaker we will hold details of the booking party including names and ages.

If you are a holiday home owner we may collect details of your occupation, financial details pertaining to the purchase of a holiday home, insurance policy detail and information pertaining to family members/friends with permission to use the holiday home – as listed on the site licence or temporary membership forms.

If you are an Oasis member we may also collect Direct Debit payment detail, information on your health as part of a fitness assessment.

If you sign up for marketing (not all points are relevant to all marketing sign up channels).

We use only data gathered in accordance with this privacy policy.

How we use your data

We will always use your data in a lawful way, for the purpose for which it was intended and because it is a necessity for us to provide to the product or service required or because you have consented to Bunn Leisure’s use of your data with respect to marketing or it stands as a legitimate interest.

We will use your data for:

  • To fulfil our contractual arrangements with you.
  • To improve our service to you.
  • Supplying products or services to you.
  • To determine your suitability to do work.
  • To participate in competitions
  • Supplying marketing offers and information to you in the form of direct marketing (postal), emails, texts and phone calls, if you opted in.
  • Personalising and tailoring our products and/or services to you.
  • Market research.
  • Customer demographic research.
  • Website user experience/journey analysis – so as to continually improve our websites and your experience of them.

When using Bunn Leisure websites you will use third party cookies through third party applications like Google. We do not control the activities of these third parties and if you wish to limit the data collected by these third parties then we would refer you to the cookie section within this privacy statement where you can find instructions as to how these cookies can be activated/deactivated.    

You have the right to remove consent for us to use your data, and the right to request that we delete your data.

How long we keep your personal information

We do not keep your data for any longer than is necessary to facilitate the reason it was first given. Your data will be kept for the following periods, or for the following reasons:

  • To allow us to fulfil our obligation for deliver the product or service you have requested from us.
  • To allow us to market our services and/or products to you after consent has been given and is valid.
  • We will delete your data if you request we do so.
  • If you are a holiday guest we will remove your data 2 years after your last booking if no further communication has been made.
  • If you are a holiday home Owner we will delete your data 6 years after you have left.

How do we safeguard your personal data?

We are committed to taking all reasonable steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorised access.  We achieve this by having in place a range of appropriate cyber, procedural practices & security measures to protect against unauthorised access, disclosure or misuse of your personal data.

Sharing Information with third parties.

Bunn Leisure will only share information with third parties where we have a legal obligation or to complete work on our behalf.

We instruct third parties to act on our behalf, these include payment processing, service and product delivery, advertising and marketing, search engine facilities and account access. Bunn Leisure takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is handled safely and securely and we only share data to enable agents acting on behalf of Bunn Leisure to deliver the full service or product offered.

Bunn Leisure uses analytics tools to understand the use of our websites, website traffic, user patterns, user numbers, sales and consumer demographics and other information. Bunn Leisure will, on occasion, share data with third party agents to facilitate this analysis.

Bunn Leisure will not sell, trade, let or lend personal information to others.

Consent

In certain circumstances we may be required to provide personal data to a third party so that they provide a specific service to you. This may be to provide finance or for you to obtain insurance. In such circumstance personal information will only be provided with your express consent.

When making a booking, when you give us information about another person you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them, to consent to the processing of their personal data, including sensitive personal data.

The information contained in any correspondence with us along with your email address and other details will only be used by Bunn Leisure in order to respond to your particular enquiry. It will not be given to any third party that is not associated with Bunn Leisure and its businesses without contacting you in advance. Your details may be retained on file and used to contact you in the future with information that is relevant to Bunn Leisure Holiday Offers or Caravan Holiday Home Sales and associated facilities, amenities, entertainment etc., at some stage in the future either by post, electronic mail or other methods only if consent has explicitly been given. This information may be used, for example, to inform you of special promotions, price offers etc. If you tell us that you do not wish to have this information used we will respect your wishes - should you have any queries or wish to be removed from our list please e-mail at unsubscribe@bunnleisure.co.uk.

Sending Personal Information Overseas

Bunn Leisure will not send information overseas.

Giving you control

You have the right to request to see your personal data held by Bunn Leisure, you also have the right to request deletion of that data. You have the right to accept or deny marketing options, and you have the right to change your mind about consent given for marketing. If you have consented to marketing and wish to then stop marketing you will need to either contact Bunn Leisure and request your removal and/or use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email to remove yourself from the email marketing database/s.

Withholding information

You do, of course, have the option to use our websites without giving any information at all but this does mean that you may not be able to use the full suite of functions e.g. booking a holiday. If you wish to simply view the website/s you can alter your cookie settings to restrict the collection of certain data.

Conditions relating to the use of this website

Bunn Leisure makes all reasonable efforts to ensure that all information provided through all of its websites published on the internet are accurate at the time of inclusion. However, occasionally we may make inadvertent errors, including typographical errors for which we apologise. Information may also be updated or changed at any time without notice and as such Bunn Leisure reserves the right to make changes and corrections at any time, without notice.

Bunn Leisure accepts no liability for any direct, special, indirect or consequential damages, or any other damages of whatsoever kind resulting from whatever cause through the use of any information obtained either directly or indirectly from any of the Bunn Leisure websites.

Third Party Website Disclaimer

Bunn Leisure websites may contain links to other websites, the company is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these websites. Any links to any other sites does not mean that Bunn Leisure endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content or the accuracy of any promotions, offers or information contained therein. That in accessing these or any of Bunn Leisure site that you have the necessary protection from viruses or trojan horses or any other items that may cause malicious damage or construction and have taken all precautionary measures prior to undertaking any downloads etc.

We may collect information about your preferences both when you tell us what these are and by analysis of site traffic, including now or in the future cookies and IP addresses. This information may be used to personalise your visits to our website or to provide you with relevant information based on your previous choices or information entered. As the controller, Bunn Leisure has implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website. However, Internet-based data transmissions may in principle have security gaps, so absolute protection may not be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us via alternative means, e.g. by telephone.

Definitions

The data protection declaration of Bunn Leisure is based on the terms used in General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our data protection declaration should be legible and understandable for the general public, as well as our customers and business partners.

Third party is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorised to process personal data.

Consent

Consent of the data subject is any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject's wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her.

Your rights

Access: Individuals have the right of access to their personal data.

Rectification: Individuals can ask us to change or complete any inaccurate or incomplete personal data held about them.

Erasure: Individuals can ask us to delete their personal information where it is no longer necessary for us to use it, or where we have no legal basis for keeping it.

To be forgotten:You have the right to ask us to delete any personal information we hold about you.

Restriction: Individuals can ask us to restrict the personal information we use about them where we are not able to erase their personal information.

Object: Individuals can object to our processing of their personal information.

Portability: Individuals can ask us to provide them with a copy of your personal data.

Withdraw Consent: Generally, we do not require consent to process personal information and so we do not ordinarily ask for consent to process personal information. However, where we do ask for consent to process personal information, individuals have the right to withdraw their consent at any time.

We are required to verify the identity of anyone requesting to exercise their privacy rights and we may ask individuals to provide valid identification documents when making a request to allow us to do this.

We will not make any charge for responding to any request from an individual exercising their privacy rights, and we will respond to any requests in accordance with our obligations under data protection laws.

If you have reason to complain regarding our use of your personal data, please contact us in writing to the datacontroller@bunnleisure.co.uk and we will endeavour to rectify the issue. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Automated decision-making

As a responsible company, we do not use automatic decision-making or profiling.
